Michael Byrd, agent with the NC Forest Service will give suggestions on managing your woodland to benefit your budget, the enviornment, and the community. Also learn details about an upcoming in-depth workshop.

 
Electronics and Home Hazardous Waste Disposal Day

Land of Sky Regional Council in conjunction with ECO and the Henderson
County will hold an Electronics and Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Day. Residents may dispose of the following items:
Computers and Accessories
Cell Phones
Scanners, Fax Machines, Printers
Pet care products
Oxiders
Pesticides
Herbicides
Batteries
Flourescent tubes
Crop products
Paint Flammable liquids
Household cleaners

Hike at Glen Arden
Sunday, May 20, 2007 2pm-5pm

A guided 4-5 mile hike along old roadbeds to view a 300-ft. waterfall and several smaller ones, capped with a mountaintop vista of the South Carolina escarpment. The 200-acre private camp is in south Henderson County and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
