20th Annual Hendersonville
Christmas Tree Recycling Project

Saturday, January 10, 2009 - Jackson Park

Come join in a successful community endeavor in Henderson County! On Saturday, January 10, a large pile of Christmas trees will be chipped into
several huge piles of mulch … and the free mulch will be bagged, boxed, containerized,
trucked, and taken away by local citizens to beautify and nourish yards, walkways,
trails, or compost bins. The project is coordinated by the Environmental and
Conservation Organization. So bring your tree and your container to help yourself to fresh, aromatic chips.

The annual event is coordinated by ECO in cooperation with Henderson County Parks and Recreation, Hendersonville Public Works, and Henderson County Solid Waste Department. The event will take place rain or shine.

For more information phone the ECO office at 692-0385.
